Development of The Wash is currently led Andrew Whitcomb, a Tempe resident and assistant professor of Graphic Design at ASU. It’s part of his effort to support community engagement in shaping healthier cities. Here he is smiling (and grimacing?) as he bikes the streets of Tempe.

The Wash isn’t a formal non-profit (yet!), but we’re partnering with the Tempe Bicycle Action Group so that we can accept donations.

We don’t have any paid staff, but we’re fortunate to have some excellent folks contributing their time to explore the feasibility of this effort.
